Terms & Conditions

1. Organiser and scope

These Terms & Conditions govern bookings for Mafia Family Club games organised by:

Mykhaylo Pliskin, trading as Mafia Family Club
Chemin de Fayards 10
1264 Saint-Cergue
Switzerland
Email: admin@mafia-club.ch
Telephone: +41 79 153 70 15

They apply to bookings made online through mafia-club.ch and, where relevant, bookings accepted by the organiser by telephone, in person or through another individually agreed channel. A person booking for a group confirms that they are authorised to make the booking and communicate these terms to the other participants.

2. How a booking is made and confirmed

The website shows the available game, table, number of players, booking type, applicable price and any discount before the customer proceeds to payment. The customer can review and correct the information before submitting the booking.

For an ordinary online booking, submitting the form reserves capacity temporarily while payment is completed. The booking becomes binding when payment is successfully confirmed and the booking confirmation is issued. Where the website states that host approval is required, the booking becomes binding only after the host approves it, payment is successfully completed and confirmation is issued. A payment attempt or an unconfirmed temporary reservation is not a confirmed booking.

A booking made by telephone, in person or through another individually agreed channel becomes binding when the organiser expressly confirms it and the customer accepts the agreed booking details, price and payment arrangement.

3. Booking types, tables and language

Shared-table bookings are priced per person, and other guests may book the remaining seats. A group meeting the minimum size displayed during booking may choose an exclusive table only if a completely free table remains. An exclusive booking is charged for the table's full capacity with the displayed discount. Booking every seat at an empty table makes the table automatically exclusive.

Specific seats or seating arrangements cannot be guaranteed. Shared bookings also depend on there being enough players who can reasonably take part together, including a workable common game language. The organiser may contact customers to resolve an allocation issue and, if the game cannot reasonably proceed, may cancel an affected booking under section 7.

4. Prices and payment

Prices are stated in Swiss francs (CHF). The total displayed and accepted for a booking is the amount payable for that booking and will not be increased retrospectively.

Online payments made through mafia-club.ch are processed by Stripe. Mafia Family Club does not receive or store complete payment-card numbers or card security codes. For a booking accepted by telephone, in person or through another individually agreed channel, the organiser may agree to payment by cash, bank transfer, TWINT, a card payment outside the website or another stated method. Unless the organiser expressly agrees otherwise, full payment is required to confirm the booking.

5. Customer cancellations

A customer may cancel an online booking through the private manage-booking link. If that is not reasonably possible, or if the booking was made through the organiser, the customer should contact the organiser using the details in section 1 and identify the booking.

A cancellation made at least seven full days before the scheduled start receives a 100% refund. A cancellation made at least 72 hours, but less than seven full days, before the start receives a 50% refund. A later cancellation and non-attendance receive no refund, except where mandatory law requires otherwise. The calculation uses the scheduled start time in the Europe/Zurich time zone.

An eligible online payment is refunded through the payment workflow used for that booking. If another payment method was used, the organiser will contact the customer or otherwise arrange the refund directly. The time taken for funds to appear can depend on the bank or payment provider.

The cancellation rights above are the contractual rights offered for these bookings and do not limit any statutory rights that apply in a particular case.

6. Changes requested by the customer

A requested change of date, table, group size, booking type or participant details is effective only if the organiser expressly accepts it. Availability and the price applicable to the changed booking may differ. The customer should not assume that a request has been accepted until confirmation is received.

7. Host changes and cancellations

The organiser may cancel an individual booking, close a table or cancel an entire game where the game cannot reasonably or safely proceed, including, but not limited to, because of insufficient or incompatible player groups, venue unavailability, safety concerns or another material operational reason. Where reasonably possible, the organiser may first offer a suitable alternative, which the customer is free to accept or decline.

If the organiser cancels, the amount paid for the cancelled booking will be refunded in full. An online payment will be refunded to its original payment method where the payment provider permits this. If the customer used another payment method, Mafia Family Club administration will contact the customer shortly to arrange the refund.

The organiser is not responsible for indirect or consequential expenses such as travel or accommodation costs resulting from a cancellation, except to the extent liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

8. Conduct, safety and participation

Participants must follow the published game rules, venue rules and reasonable instructions of the host or moderator, and must treat other participants and staff respectfully. The organiser may refuse admission or remove a participant whose conduct is threatening, abusive, seriously disruptive, unsafe or materially prevents the game from proceeding.

Where removal results from the participant's serious breach of these obligations, no refund is due to the extent permitted by law. This does not affect rights arising from a failure by the organiser to provide the agreed service.

9. Customer information and communications

Customers must provide accurate contact and booking information and promptly notify the organiser of relevant changes. The organiser may send operational messages needed to administer a booking, payment, table allocation, cancellation or refund. These operational messages are not marketing communications.

The customer is responsible for keeping the private manage-booking link secure and for notifying the organiser promptly if it may have been disclosed to an unauthorised person.

10. Liability

The organiser will provide the service with reasonable care. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for intent or gross negligence, for death or personal injury caused by the organiser, or any other liability or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Subject to those mandatory rights, the organiser is responsible for direct loss that was reasonably foreseeable from a breach of the booking contract. The organiser is not responsible for loss caused by inaccurate information supplied by the customer, a participant's failure to follow reasonable instructions, or events outside the organiser's reasonable control, except where and to the extent the organiser remains legally responsible.

11. Personal data

Personal data is processed as described in the Privacy Policy. Acceptance of these terms does not constitute consent to marketing.

12. Changes to these terms

The version accepted when a booking is made governs that booking. Later changes do not retrospectively alter a confirmed booking unless the customer and organiser agree or a change is required by mandatory law.

13. Swiss law and disputes

These terms and the booking contract are governed by Swiss law. This choice does not deprive a consumer of any mandatory protection that applies under the law or jurisdiction rules relevant to that consumer.

The parties should first try to resolve a concern directly and in good faith. The competent courts are determined by the mandatory Swiss and applicable international jurisdiction rules. Nothing in these terms requires a consumer to give up a court at their domicile where that right cannot validly be waived in advance.

14. Severability and no waiver

If a provision is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent legally possible. A delay in enforcing a right does not by itself waive that right.
